We encourage prospective clients to contact us before they even begin the home design or plan search process. We can help you make sense out of what can be a confusing process. We strive to make the custom homebuilding experience enjoyable and rewarding. Below is a list of the steps describing how the custom home building process generally flows:
2. The client meets with the designer or architect to discuss what they want in their new home. The designer provides the homeowner with a preliminary set of plans to review for changes. We recommend that clients set up a meeting for us to review their preliminary home design as we can often find ways to reduce the cost or increase their satisfaction with the design. 3. When the designer completes the plan we meet with the client to find out what type of products and finishes they want in their new home. We also visit the owner’s property to inspect the site conditions. Based on this information, we go to work on the cost estimate for the home's construction. 4. We present our proposal to the client and discuss any changes they may want to make before signing a contract. If selected to build the home, we make any necessary adjustments to the specifications before signing the contract documents. 5. If a lending institution is to be used, they receive a copy of the plans and contract documents. Based on this information they conduct an appraisal and prepare to close on the construction loan.
7. The
clients are an integral part of the building team and will have plenty
of shopping to do in order to select the items they want in their new
home. We have a tried and true system to keep them updated on when we
will need each selected item to keep the process moving as smoothly as
possible. 9. Once all punchlist items are completed and the construction loan process is closed, the clients move into their new home. 10. Shows
Construction offers a one-year workmanship warranty of the new home. We
stay in contact with the homeowner periodically during their first year
in the home to see if we need to correct anything. Shows
